Manage and lead the IT Online Services team ensuring that resources are used effectively, to deliver assigned and approved work.
Responsible for the functionality and availability of IT systems, with associated tools, ensuring that these are appropriately enhanced and maintained, in support of the following objectives.
Management Skills:
Provide clear direction, guidance, and support to team members.
Allocate resources efficiently and in a flexible way to match priorities.
Develop and coach team members and handle their appraisal and training needs.
Prepare and manage the team’s programme of work.
Handle supplier relationships and oversight of external IT providers.
Report progress and risks to stakeholders and committees.
IT and Technical Skills:
Provide technical oversight to team and stakeholders.
Develop plans to resolve problems and implement change.
Support delivery of strategic IT projects.
Monitor and manage IT risks.
Guide team through software delivery lifecycle — from requirements to deployment.
Communication and Reporting:
Communicate goals, progress, and issues clearly to stakeholders.
Provide regular reports and raise risks promptly.
Prepare clear, constructive recommendations.
Professional Development:
Keep up-to-date with industry developments and regulations.
Develop skills through training, conferences, and reading technical publications.
