The role involves building and maintaining Microsoft .Net applications, providing advanced support for various systems, and analyzing and troubleshooting issues to identify root causes. The developer will collaborate closely with Service Delivery, Infrastructure, and Change teams, ensuring clear and timely communication with all parties involved.
Development
Create high-quality solutions that meet business needs on time.
Follow IT security and architecture standards for safe, reliable, and easy-to-maintain applications.
Understand complex applications and how they connect with other systems.
Support
Provide third-level support for live systems.
Collaborate with other teams to fix issues and deliver solutions.
Ensure smooth transition from projects to live use, including training the support team.
Governance
Follow IT rules and processes.
Write and keep system documentation up to date.
Suggest and lead improvements aligned with company goals.
Release and Deployment
Maintain release processes.
Prepare and deploy releases for testing and live systems.
Help with Change Advisory Board (CAB) reviews.
Automate releases when possible.
Capacity Management
Estimate work effort.
Help with planning workload and resources.
Provide clear progress reports to manager.
Skills and Experience Needed
Essential
At least 5 years of .Net development experience.
Knowledge of the full software development lifecycle.
Strong skills in .Net, C#, VB.Net, SQL, WCF/Web API, MVC, SSRS, SSIS.
Experience with Git, Jira, Azure DevOps or similar tools.
Good written and spoken communication.
Team player who can also work independently.
Good problem-solving skills and proactive attitude.
Able to analyze business needs and design solutions.
Manage multiple projects at once.
Adapt well to changing priorities.
Desirable
Experience with Agile methods.
Knowledge of D365, Blazor, automated testing.
Background in insurance or finance industries.
Microsoft certifications or similar qualifications.
