As a senior role within the IT Infrastructure Network and Security Team you will architect, implement and maintain highly-available and secure IT infrastructure services across the Group.
The team provides quality support for a wide range of on-prem and Cloud infrastructure, across multiple jurisdictions, acting as the second/third line of internal support. Day to day, this involves reviewing, replicating and troubleshooting network and security issues and bringing about timely resolutions.
The role also has a broad range of IT responsibilities in group-wide projects as well as systems maintenance, including upgrades, new features and new implementations, system and Cloud admin; in which we are responsible for successful technical delivery. Working through all areas of project lifecycle: requirement-gathering, solution-selection, working with suppliers, testing, final delivery and ongoing support.
Technical operation of Group IT infrastructure, to include but not limited to the following technologies:
o Local and Wide Area Network Services
o Cisco/HP Aruba network management
o Aruba wireless services
o Aruba ClearPass NAC
o Palo Alto Firewall management
o Zscaler web gateway management
o SD-WAN network services
o Microsoft Security Systems such as Defender for Endpoint
o SolarWinds Monitoring systems
o Telephony/VOIP services
o Certificate management
o Hardware Lifecycle management
Assist with the management of IT Infrastructure lifecycles, budget planning and business case preparation.
Monitors the performance of network and security resources, using customer feedback, to ensure that the most efficient service is provided into the organisation.
Follow the prevailing IT processes and procedures (e.g. Incident, Problem and Change Management) ensuring technical documentation records are maintained and updated.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
An IT professional qualification in Cisco, Palo Alto. Ideally at CCNA level or equivalent.
A minimum of 5 years proven skills and experience in enterprise network and security technologies within the scope of this role.
Experience of managing a multi-jurisdictional network and security systems, plus Microsoft corporate environment, utilising both on-prem and cloud services.
Experience of technical project management - for example, leading small/medium technical projects
Information security – knowledge and experience of new and emerging technologies and legislation
Technical project supplier management – assist with the creation of scope of works and-ensuring delivery against statement of works and agreed costs.
