As Senior Desktop Support Engineer, you’ll be a key part of the infrastructure team, working closely with colleagues and the wider business. Your role involves day-to-day support, implementing technical solutions, and participating in a range of projects. You'll deal with both on-premises and cloud technologies and collaborate with vendors when necessary.
This is a hands-on, flexible role where you’ll need to be adaptable, proficient, and motivated to provide an exceptional service.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide technical support across phone, email, in person, and service desk
Take full ownership of all end-user technology
Manage vendors, licenses, hardware, and software purchases
Troubleshoot issues (including Azure, Intune, VMware, physical hardware, and networking)
Support Facilities team with audio-visual equipment when required
Handle onboarding and offboarding of employees
Work closely with Infrastructure team to maximize service delivery
Perform maintenance, rollout, and software/hardware upgrades
Provide support to local and remote offices, sometimes outside normal hours
Keep up with technology and security best practices
Required Skills and Experience:
Self-starter, well organized, able to multi-task
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365, Azure, Intune, Autopilot, Exchange, and related technologies
Familiar with collaboration and file-sharing platforms (like Egnyte)
Experience with Windows 11, Mac OS, and server OS
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Experience in hardware support, scripting, VDI, and ticketing systems
Familiar with monitoring and alerting products
Experience liaising with vendors
Ability to produce clear technical documents and plans
